IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, Syrian government forces bombed the vicinity of a Turkish military post near the town of Sarjah in Jabal al-Arba’in area, south of Idlib, northwest Syria, without reports of casualties.
Several areas in Idlib have witnessed a continuation of mutual shelling between pro-Turkish armed opposition groups and the Syrian government forces.
The government forces targeted the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Oweid, Sufuhn and Ain Laroz in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery and rockets, opposition military sources told North Press.
In addition, a military source of the National Liberation Front told North Press that the Turkish forces and al-Fath al-Mubin Operations Rooms targeted sites of the Syrian government forces in the towns of Babila and Khan al-Sabil, southeast of Idlib with heavy artillery shells and missiles.
The bombing coincided with intensive flight of Russian warplanes over Idlib and regions of Ghab Plain, west of Hama and the countryside of Aleppo and Lattakia, according to the same sources.
