American forces conduct military patrol in Syria’s northeast

DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, American forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of the city of Derik in far northeast Syria.

Local sources told North Press that the American patrol roamed the northern countryside of Derik.

The patrol arrived at the village of Ain Dewar, where it headed towards the ancient Roman Bridge on the Syrian-Turkish border, according to residents.

The patrol consisted of four armored vehicles accompanied by two helicopters that provided air cover.

On Wednesday, Russian Military Police forces conducted a military patrol in the same area.  The patrol consisted of three armored vehicles without air cover.
