Government forces renew shelling on opposition positions in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Syrian government forces stationed in the vicinity of the city of Kafr Nabl in the Idlib countryside, northwestern Syria, bombed the sites of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in Zawiya Mountain south of Idlib.

A military source from the opposition groups told North Press that the government forces bombed sites in the towns of Bara, Sufuhn and Fateira in Zawiya Mountain with heavy artillery.

The sources added that the groups of Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Jaysh al-Izza, and the National Front for Liberation which are affiliated with the Syrian National Army (SNA), managed to snipe a member of the government forces in the town of al-Dar al-Kabera in the southern countryside of Idlib.

On Sunday, the Syrian government forces bombed the sites of the opposition groups in the towns of Sufuhn and Fateira , south of Idlib, in addition to the town of al-Enkawi, in the Ghab Plain region in the western countryside of Hama.
