Syrian government-held area records 138 new coronavirus cases, 9 deaths
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 138 new coronavirus infections and 9 deaths in its areas of control.
The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were four in Damascus, two in Homs, and one in each of Latakia, Aleppo, and Tartus.
Meanwhile, the media office announces the registration of 130 new recoveries.
Recently, the government-held areas have been witnessing a noticeable increase in the number of the coronavirus cases.
The new cases were mostly recorded in Aleppo 39, Latakia 38, Damascus 25, Homs 19, and Rif Dimashq 11.
Meanwhile, other infections were five in Daraa and one in Raqqa.
The total toll of the infection in the government-held areas has come up to 21,142, including 1,446 deaths and 14,841 recoveries.
