Northwest Syria records new coronavirus infections
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, the Syrian Interim Government of the opposition Syrian National Coalition announced the recording of 17 new cases of coronavirus in northwest Syria.
On its official account on the Internet, the Interim Government said that it recorded 17 cases of the virus and 12 recoveries.
It indicated that it had conducted tests for 362 suspected cases in Idlib and Aleppo regions.
With the newly announced figures, the total number of infections in the opposition-controlled areas has risen to 21,647, including 641 deaths and 19,682 recoveries.
On Saturday, areas of northwest Syria recorded 7 new coronavirus cases.
