ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, an explosive device (IED) of the war remnants exploded in Masaken Hanano neighborhood east of the city of Aleppo, northwest Syria, which injured five people, including children.
A source from the police said that the device, which was covered with soil and planted in one of the sub-alleys in the neighborhood, exploded as a result of a child playing with it.
As a result of the explosion, a child, his mother, and three other people were injured, and they were taken to the state-owned University Hospital in Aleppo for treatment.
Local sources from the neighborhood said that the remnants of war are still abundantly present in the destroyed buildings and alleys, without being removed by the relevant government authorities.
More than once, the residents submitted requests to the government to send engineering teams to remove the remnants of war, but without a response, the source added.
