Government forces shell armed groups’ posts in Syria’s Idlib countryside
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Syrian government forces shelled the armed groups’ posts within the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
The government forces shelled the town of Sufuhon in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib countryside, with artillery shells, a field source told North Press.
Meanwhile, the government targeted the armed groups’ posts in the village of al-Fatirah, south Idlib, with rocket launchers and artillery shells.
The shelling coincided with intensive flight by drones and warplanes over the area, reporting no human civil or military casualties, the source added.
The areas of northwest Syria are included in the ceasefire agreement signed by Turkey and Russia last March after a military campaign in the region.
