American and Russian forces patrol in Syria’s Derik countryside
DERIK, Syria (north Press) – On Monday, the US forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of the city of Derik, in the far northeast of Syria, in coincidence with another Russian patrol in the same area.
Local sources told North Press that an American patrol roamed the northern countryside of Derik.
The patrol consisted of four military armored vehicles, accompanied by two helicopters, which provided air cover before returning to their bases in Rumailan.
In the same context, local sources from Ain Diwar and Kerdemi villages said that a Russian patrol roamed in the northern and western countryside of Derik, reaching the village of Ain Diwar, before returning to its bases in the city of Qamishli.
The Russian patrol consisted of four military armored vehicles, accompanied by two helicopters to provide air cover.
On April 11, the American forces conducted two separate patrols in the countryside of Derik.
