Russia, Turkey conduct joint patrol in Syria’s Kobani countryside

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with Turkey in the east Kobani countryside, north Syria.

This is the 50th joint patrol conducted in the region.

The patrol set out from Gharib village, 15 kilometers east of Kobani, and included eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles in addition to two Russian helicopters.

It roamed the villages of Qara Mogh, Jishan, Khara Bisan Fouqani, and Baghdik heading towards the village of Bandar Khan, west Tel Abyad countryside and returned to the starting point in the village Gharib.

After that, Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near the village of Gharib, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near the radio tower west of Kobani.

On April 5, the Russian Military Police conducted the 49th joint patrol with Turkey in the west countryside of Kobani.
