Syria’s Hasakah needs new health center for coronavirus: Health Committee

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, spokeswoman of the Health Committee in Hasakah Siham Mala Ali said that the number of the coronavirus cases are sharply spiking despite the imposed complete lockdown.

“We need a new health center to receive the increasing coronavirus cases, because COVID-19 Hospital in Hasakah is full of infections,” Mala Ali told North Press.

The spokeswoman pointed out that they take between 70 and 100 swabs for suspected infected people on daily basis.

The daily percentage of positive coronavirus cases is about 60% of the taken swabs, most of whom are old people, according to Mala Ali.
