Government forces bombard opposition in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, Syrian government forces renewed shelling the positions and fortifications of the armed opposition groups in northwest Syria.
“The government forces targeted the opposition’s sites in al-Fateira and Sfohen towns, south Idlib, with rocket launchers and artillery shells,” military source told North Press.
“The target affected al-Ankawi town in Ghab Plain, west of Hama,” the source added.
The bombardment coincided with intense flight of drones and warplanes, without casualties reported, according to the source.
Both Syrian government forces and opposition groups continue violating ceasefire reached two years ago in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
