Syria’s opposition-held areas record 18 new coronavirus cases, no recoveries

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Syrian Interim Government of the Opposition Coalition announced the record of 18 new cases of coronavirus in northwest Syria.

On its official account on the Internet, the Interim Government said that it recorded 18 cases of the virus, without recoveries recorded.

It indicated that it had conducted tests for 303 suspected cases in Idlib and Aleppo regions.

With the newly announced figures, the total number of infections in the opposition-controlled areas has risen to 21,476, including 638 deaths and 19,569 recoveries.

On Thursday, the northwestern regions of Syria recorded 22 cases of coronavirus, and one recovery, without announcing new deaths of the virus.
