America, Russia conduct patrols in Syria’s Derik countryside
DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian military police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, northeast Syria, at the same time as another American one in the same area.
The Russian patrol arrived in the village at noon, local sources from the village of Ain Dewar, north Derik, told North Press.
The patrol consisted of three armored vehicles without an aerial coverage, and returned to its bases in the city of Qamishli through the western countryside.
On Wednesday, Russian forces conducted a military patrol of three armored vehicles and reached the Roman Bridge in Ain Dewar.
Meanwhile, American forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik on Monday.
The American patrol roamed in the southern countryside of Derik, where oil wells exist, local sources told North Press.
The American patrol consisted of four armored vehicles and headed to their post near Derik.
On Saturday, American forces conducted a military patrol that reached to Ain Dewar.
Last Monday, Russian military police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik in conjunction with another American one in the same area.
