Turkish gendarmerie target quarry in Syria’s Derk

DERIK, Syria (North Press) – Local sources from the countryside of northern Syria’s Derik say that Turkish gendarmerie targeted a quarry in the region on Saturday evening, causing material damage.

Residents of Derika village told North Press that they heard a loud noise around nine in the evening, which later turned out to be a Turkish bombing.

Sources added that the Turkish shelling targeted a sand quarry owned by a resident of Ain Dewar village in Derik’s countryside.

Residents said they could not verify whether the noise was caused by artillery shelling or a drone strike.
