Syria’s AANES records 152 new coronavirus infections and 3 deaths

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 152 new coronavirus infections and 3 deaths in northeast Syria. 

AANES’ Facebook page quoted Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, who stated that the deaths are two men and a woman from Hasakah.

The recorded infections were 54 in Qamishli, 36 in Hasakah, 16 in Raqqa, 1 in Tabqa, 31 in Derik.

The rest of the infections were in Derbasiya, Rumailan, Amouda, and Hawl Camp. 

Meanwhile, the AANES Health Board recorded 8 new recoveries.

With the announcement of these new cases, the number of people infected with coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria has reached 10,331 confirmed cases, including 385 deaths and 1,326 recoveries.  

Recently, the AANES-held areas have witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of coronavirus deaths and infections.
