Reconciliation achieved between two tribes in Syria’s Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria(North Press) – On Tuesday, a tribal reconciliation was held in the village of Kabsh, 35 km of Raqqa, between al-Afadela and al-Bo al-Fad’an tribes, which had a dispute between them earlier.

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), Abd Hamid al-Mehbash, and a number of tribal leaders in the city of Raqqa, in addition to other civilian and military figures attended the reconciliation.

“Such meetings reinforce civil peace among the communities of the region to overcome disputes and unite to rise the city of Raqqa,” Ayed al-Barakat, member of the Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa, said.

The dispute between the two tribes erupted on March 15, which resulted in the injury of two people, after a quarrel between the youth of the two tribes.

In 2020, the city of Raqqa witnessed a number of tribal reconciliations, the last of which was between members of al-Jamasa tribe on May 16, 2020.
