Russian forces conduct military patrol in Syria’s Derik

DERIK, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Russian Military Police conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik city, in northeastern Syria.

Local sources from the village of Ain Dewar told North Press, “a Russian patrol arrived in the village on Wednesday at noon.”

The patrol consisted of three armored vehicles and two helicopters providing air cover.

The patrol returned to its base in the city of Qamishli.

On Monday, the Russian forces conducted a military patrol consisting of four armored vehicles which reached the Roman Bridge near Ain Dewar, in northern Derik, coinciding the presence of an American patrol in the same region.

Russian forces conduct their patrols in the countryside of Derik at least twice a week, without changing their course.
