Opposition bombing leaves government casualties in Syria’s south Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, several Syrian government soldiers were killed and wounded after the opposition groups blew up a building where the government forces were stationed, in the city of Kafr Nubul, south Idlib.
Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room destroyed a two-floor building where government forces were stationed on the northern outskirts of Kafr Nubul city, military sources from the Syrian opposition told North Press.
“Everyone inside the building, that almost completely collapsed, was killed or wounded, as opposition groups observed the arrival of several ambulances to the site,” they added.
The sources said that clashes between the opposition groups and government forces followed the bombardment in al-Bara, south Idlib.
On Monday, Turkish forces shelled government forces’ posts in the villages of Kafr Aleppo and Qobtan al-Jabal, west Aleppo, from their posts near the Syrian-Turkish border.
It is worth mentioning that the Syrian government took control over the city of Kafr Nubul, which is considered one of the most prominent opposition areas in Idlib, on February 5, 2020, following fierce battles between the opposition and the government.
