IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, an IED exploded in a car of an opposition group, north Idlib causing material losses, amid continued security chaos in Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)-held areas.
The IED that was planted by unknown persons in a pickup of an opposition military group, exploded in the town of Zardana, north Idlib, local sources told North Press.
Syrian opposition and HTS-held areas northwest Syria are witnessing security chaos accompanied by successive explosions amid opposition groups’ inability to secure the area, according to residents.
On February 20, two people, who were said to be affiliated with HTS, looted a money exchange and remittance shop in the city of Kafr Tekharim, north Idlib, raising people’s anger as they called for HTS dismissal.
On February 9, HTS leader, named Abu Abdullah al-Uzbaki, was wounded in an IED explosion inside his car near the village of Talteta, northwest Idlib.
