Syrian youth in Turkey disappears under mysterious circumstances

ISTANBUL, Syria (North Press) – In recent days, the family of a young Syrian refugee in Istanbul has appealed to the Turkish authorities to help them find their 28-year-old son, who disappeared from the Turkish city of Istanbul under mysterious circumstances.

Sources interested in the conditions of Syrians in Turkey told North Press, “The young Syrian Muhammad Nabolsi has been missing for about 20 days in Istanbul, and since then there has been no details or information about his fate.”

About 4 million Syrians live in Turkey, according to Turkish official statistics; unofficial Turkish sources indicate the presence of about 5 million Syrian refugees, some of which are undocumented.

The young man’s relatives asked for help from everyone who knows any information about him by posting his photo on social media platforms and groups of Syrian refugees in Turkey.

A number of Syrian refugees expressed their solidarity with the family of the missing youth, and pointed out that he might be detained by a police station, as they asked the young man’s family to appoint a lawyer to search for him in all police stations.

Syrian refugees also expressed their fear of the young man’s fate, with the increase in violations against Syrians cases in Turkey recently, after several cases of disappearance of Syrian refugees were recorded in mysterious circumstances.
