HTS leader wounded during IED explosion in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) was wounded in an IED explosion inside his car in the countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, on Tuesday.

Unknown people planted an IED in a car to explode on Tuesday morning near the village of Talteta, northwest Idlib, field sources told North Press.

The explosion caused the injury of Abu Abdullah al-Uzbaki, an HTS leader; however he was transferred by the Civil Defense teams to the nearest point there, the sources added.

On February 7, unknown attackers, who were riding a motorbike, shot the Guardians of Religion Organization former leader, Abu Anas al-Almani, killing him immediately in Jisr al-Shughur, west Idlib.

The Syrian opposition-held areas in northwest Syria are witnessing a state of security chaos accompanied by concessive explosions in light of the opposition groups’ inability to settle the security there.
