Turkey bombarded Manbij‘s Military Council posts northern Syria

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups bombed the Manbij Military Council posts in Manbij, on Monday, without casualties reported.

A local source told North Press that the Turkish artillery stationed in Umm Rutha, northeast Manbij, shelled the vicinity of the village of al-Gat, north Manbij, with seven shells.

Also, the Turkish artillery stationed in the village of Umm Adasah, north of Manbij, targeted the vicinity of al-Farat in the same countryside, with three mortar shells.

Earlier in the day, the Manbij Military Council stated on its official Facebook, that its forces had thwarted the infiltration of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in the northeast of the city.

On January 2, The Manbij Military Council’s Media Center stated on its official website that the Turkish military based in Yalishli bombarded villages in the northwestern countryside of Manbij with over 35 artillery shells.
