Bomb explodes in Syrian National Army vehicle in Sere Kaniye
SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, an explosive device which was planted inside a Turkish-backed armed opposition groups’ military vehicle detonated in the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), north of Hasakah.
A local source told North Press that the explosion occurred in the eastern district of the city on the old Noufous Street, resulting in material damage without causing any casualties.
The city of Sere Kaniye has been under the control of Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups since the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria in October 2019.
On Saturday, four people, including a child, were killed and others were wounded in an explosion of a VBIED in the center of the city of Sere Kaniye.
On December 20, 2020, three people were wounded in an IED explosion inside a shop in the market of the city of northern Syria’s Sere Kaniye.
The Syrian opposition-controlled areas witness a state of security chaos, accompanied by frequent bombings, kidnappings of civilians, and internal fighting, according to media and human rights reports.
