AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – Two people were injured due to an IED explosion which was placed in a military vehicle of the Levant Front group in the Ma’batli town in Afrin region, north of Aleppo, northwest Syria.
Local sources said that the explosion occurred on the road between Ma’batli town and Afrin, injuring the driver and a man who was near to the car.
The sources added that the car belonged to the military leader called Abdulhakim Zeidan Darwish, nicknamed Abu Muhammad al-Hezwani, the most prominent leader of the Levant Front in Ma’batli town.
On December 4, Four civilians were injured when an IED placed inside a car detonated in Jinderis district in the Afrin region.
Afrin region has been under the control of the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups since March 2018.
The northwest regions of the country are witnessing arrest and kidnapping cases accompanied by frequent bombings, amid the inability to control security under the control of the armed opposition groups.
