ISIS targets government military convoy in Syria’s Hama leaving casualties

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – About ten Syrian government soldiers were killed and others were wounded on Tuesday midnight, in an explosion of mines planted by the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) on the Raqqa-Salamiyah highway, in the eastern countryside of Hama.

Among the casualties, three killed government soldiers and two wounded others were transferred to the National Hospital of Salamiyah after the attack, local sources stated.   

Recently, the area has witnessed repetitive attacks by ISIS against the government soldiers and National Defense groups.

Earlier in November, about 12 government soldiers were killed during clashes with ISIS in Salamiyah countryside.  

ISIS, which is very active in the Syrian desert, continues to carry out military operations against the Syrian government forces and its affiliated groups by setting up ambushes, laying mines, and launching surprise attacks.
