Turkish military base in Syria’s northwest Idlib targeted, one soldier wounded
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish soldier was wounded, on Monday, when a Turkish military base north of Idlib governorate, northwest Syria, was targeted.
A military source from the National Front for Liberation told North Press that two unknown persons targeted the guard post of the Turkish base near the town of Ram Hamdan, north of Idlib, which resulted in the injury of a Turkish soldier.
The source added that the targeting was by an American-made “Lao” missile, which was carried on the shoulder, and caused material damage at the targeted site.
After the attack which was carried out by two unknown persons who were riding on a motorbike, the area witnessed a great state of alert as the National Front for Liberation began searching for them.
The Turkish forces have been repeatedly targeted in Idlib governorate and the countryside of Aleppo by unknown armed groups.
On October 11, unknown persons targeted a convoy of Turkish forces on the Idlib-Bab al-Hawa road with an explosive device, without reports about any material or human damage.
