Hayat Tahrir al-Sham announced Syrian government members killed south Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) announced on Thursday, the killing and injury of members of the Syrian government forces during an attack on the latter’s point south Idlib, northwest Syria.
An officer and three members of the government forces were killed and six others were injured in an infiltration operation carried by HTS members, a military source told North Press.
The source added that the infiltration operation followed by clashes between the two forces in a monitoring point of the government forces in the village of Feteira in the southern countryside of Idlib.
In another context, the opposition groups targeted the government forces positions in Jabal Akrad region in the countryside of Latakia, with artillery and missiles.
This coincided with the intensification of the shelling by the government forces on the sites of the opposition groups in Zawiya Mountain region, south Idlib.
Local source told North Press that the government forces targeted the villages of al-Bara, Shnan, Feteira, and Fleifel in Zawiya Mountain with dozens of shells.
The de-escalation zone has been witnessing mutual shelling between the Syrian government forces and the opposition groups for a month.
