Government bombing amid Turkish reinforcements in Syria’s northwest Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – A field source told North Press that the Syrian government forces bombed the fortifications of the armed opposition groups in the southern countryside of Idlib, with dozens of shells.
The source added that the bombing on the villages and towns of Zawiya Mountain caused large damage to the civilians property without reports about casualties.
Meanwhile, massive Turkish military reinforcements entered Syrian territory to support the military points in Idlib.
A field source told North Press that two Turkish convoys contained more than 60 vehicles, including armored vehicles, trucks carrying ammunition, logistical materials, and prefabricated rooms entered Syrian territory.
The reinforcements, which entered from the Kafr Lossin border crossing, headed to the Turkish bases deployed in Zawiya Mountain area, south of Idlib, according to the source.
The de-escalation zone has been witnessing for months, a military escalation and mutual bombing between government forces and armed opposition groups, and the region includes parts of Idlib, Hama, Aleppo and Latakia.
