Two bodies were found in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Residents of Hauran Farms area in Daraa governorate found, on Wednesday, the body of two people, who were subjected to abuse and torture then killed by unknown persons. One of the bodies belonged to a member of the displaced tribal in Lajat area.

The tribe had fled Lajat since 2012, they are divided into 52 communities spread along the eastern Hauran plains.

A local source told North Press that one of the two bodies belonged to the families of the displaced people of Lajat area in the plains of Hauran.

The second is from the town of Karak, where he belonged to one of the groups opposed the Syrian government group, according to the source.

On Tuesday, the displaced tribes of Lajat region called the Eighth Brigade of the Fifth Corps, to protect them from the government forces.

The Syrian government forces recently send more military reinforcements to Daraa Governorate in southern Syria.

Murder and torture increased in the eastern countryside after the government forces’ Fourth Division brought in new military reinforcements two days ago from Damascus.

The source said “there were three assassination attempts, on Wednesday, involving people who have obtained reconciliation and settlement identities with the Syrian government since 2018 and under the supervision of the Russian guarantor.”

“The assassination attempts were in the town of Jasim in the northeastern countryside of Daraa, the city of Daraa, the station, and the Roundabout of Daraa City Council,” he added.

Tensions in the countryside of Daraa have been rising since the beginning of November, when government forces stormed the eastern town of Karak, besieged Daraa and carried out arrests there.
