Syrian displaced killed by unknown gunmen in Hawl Camp, eastern Syria
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A displaced Syrian was killed on Sunday, in the fourth sector of Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, as a result of shooting by unknown gunmen.
Muhammad Khader Salameh, a displaced person, was found dead in front of his tent in the Fourth Sector as a result of being shot in the chest and abdomen, according to a source from Hawl Camp administration.
The camp witnesses frequent killings, amid accusations against loyalists of ISIS of being behind their implementation.
An Iraqi refugee working as a guard in the camp was wounded on November 14 by two bullets, fired by unknown assailants believed to be affiliated with ISIS.
On the tenth of this month, Suleiman Muhammad al-Hammadi, head of the Iraqi Refugee Council, was killed in front of his tent in the First Sector, after being shot by unknown gunmen who later fled.
The source added that the victim was transferred to al-Shaab Hospital in the city of Hasakah to be examined by the forensic doctor.
In September, the camp recorded 11 attempted murders, most of which targeted displaced Iraqis in the camp, two of whom were killed, according to the camp’s management.
