Russian and Turkish forces conduct 32nd joint patrol in Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) –Russian military police conducted a joint patrol with Turkish forces on Thursday, east of the northeastern Syrian city of Kobani, according to the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement.
The patrol, that consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, exited from the village of Gharib, east Kobani, and travelled through the villages of the eastern countryside.
The Turkish vehicles returned to Turkey through the border gate near the village, and Russian vehicles returned to their base in the Iza’a area south of Kobani.
This Russian-Turkish joint patrol is the 32nd of its kind to be conducted in Kobani since Sochi agreement took effect in October 2019. The 31st joint patrol was conducted on November 2, west of Kobani.
