Four coronavirus deaths and 88 new infections recorded in northeast Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 88 new coronavirus infections and four deaths in its areas on Thursday.
Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the AANES Health Board, stated that the deaths were a woman from Jil Agha, a man from Derik, a man from Qamishli and a man from Derbasiya. He added that the new recorded infections were 53 males and 35 women.
In the Jazira region, the recorded infections were 36 in Hasakah, 20 in Derik, 14 in Qamishli, 6 in Amuda, 5 in Girke Lege, and 3 in Rimelan.
In the Euphrates region, there was one case in Kobani, and Three cases in the northern countryside of Aleppo, where those displaced from Afrin by the Turkish invasion in 2018 reside.
The recovery of 13 cases were also recorded, according to Mustafa.
The Health Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced the recording of 131 new coronavirus infections and two deaths in its areas on Wednesday.
According to the new the statistics on new cases of coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration regions, the number of infections has risen to 5,929, of which 153 died and 852 recovered.
