Turkish forces withdraw from tenth point in Syria’s de-escalation zone

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces started on Wednesday, the evacuation process of the tenth point which was besieged by the Syrian government forces since the beginning of the year in the village of Sher Maghar western Hama governorate.

Turkish forces gradually started the withdrawal from Sher Maghar after completing the dismantling operations, a source from the National Front for Liberation told North Press.

The National Front for Liberation is a Syrian opposition group close to Turkey, which supports Turkish military efforts in the de-escalation zone.

Additionally, 15 Turkish vehicles left Sher Maghar, and arrived in the Turkish point in the village of Ma’arata in Zawiya Mountain south of Idlib governorate, the source said.

This was preceded by the departure of about 20 Turkish vehicles heading towards Qoqfin post that the Turkish army has recently established in Zawiya Mountain, the source confirmed.

Turkish forces completed on Monday the evacuation of the ninth military point in Morek, which was the biggest Turkish point in the de-escalation zone.

Several besieged Turkish points in the de-escalation zone have witnessed several protests by pro-Syrian government people demanding Turkish departure.
