SDF Commander Abdi meets with Raqqa Civil Council in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander Mazloum Abdi met on Sunday with a delegation from the Civil Council of Raqqa in the city of Hasakah to discuss the latest service and civilian developments in the city of Raqqa.

During the visit, the delegation of the Raqqa Civil Council, which included the participating co-chairs, deputies and officials of the council’s offices and bodies, presented a stone monument from the archaeological wall of Raqqa to Abdi.

Muhammad Nour, co-chair of the Raqqa Civil Council, said this gift is “part of the gratitude to the SDF for liberating our city from ISIS terrorism.”

“They, as tribes and institutions in Raqqa city, support [the SDF] in establishing stability and security in all of North and East Syria,” he added.

Abdi thanked the delegation of the Civil Council of Raqqa and the support of the city’s residents for their forces and internal security forces.

He stressed the need to work to improve the economic and service situation of citizens and restore the infrastructure of the city, which was destroyed during the war against ISIS.

The visiting delegation is expected to discuss with Abdi the latest developments in service and civilian affairs and to address the obstacles they face in their duties.
