Global Coalition spokesperson Col. Caggins announces end of his mission in Syria

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF–OIR) spokesman Colonel Myles B. Caggins III revealed on Saturday the end of his mission as the US-led Global Coalition spokesperson in a press conference in the city of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

The conference was held in the Coalition’s base with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) spokesman, Mustafa Bali.

At the start of the conference, Caggins delivered a speech in which he said that the US-led Global Coalition was founded 6 years before, during which it was able to liberate 7.7 million people and 110,000 km of territory from ISIS.

In his statement, Caggins praised the role of the SDF in overcoming ISIS, which posed a threat to and spread horror all over the world.

“Brave men and women of the SDF supported by the Coalition airpower proved to the world that ISIS could be beaten,” he said.

He also talked about the Coalition’s partnership with the SDF to consolidate stability in Deir ez-Zor.

In this regard, Caggins talked about humanitarian projects in the region such as sanitation, health, communication, agriculture, and education.

SDF spokesman Mustafa Bali told North Press that they are continuing their partnership with the Global Coalition to consolidate stability.

Regarding the Turkish threat to the northeastern regions of Syria, Bali said, “Turkey has so far never stopped its attacks on these areas.”

“Therefore, peoples of the region must be aware of these dangers and work to stand against them and defeat the occupiers from our regions,” he added.
