Explosion in Syria’s Bab, material damage reported

BAB, Syria (North Press) – An explosive device placed inside a car in the city of Bab, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, exploded on Friday, resulting in material damage.

The explosion took place after the worshippers left the Fatima al-Zahra’ Mosque in the city center after Friday prayers, which resulted in material damage in the area, local sources reported to North Press.

The car is owned by a displaced person from Homs who has been living in Bab since 2018.

The Bab region is witnessing a security chaos amid the failure of Turkish-backed armed opposition groups to control security and stability.

On August 15, an explosive device detonated inside the car of a police officer of the opposition groups in the city, killing him immediately.
