Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to impose masks starting Tuesday

SYRIA (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North East Syria (AANES) issued a decision on Sunday imposing the wearing of masks to combat the coronavirus outbreak, under penalty of a fine for violators.

On its Facebook account, AANES announced the imposition of mask wearing and implementation of precautionary measures in public places, markets, and all official departments starting on Tuesday.

Those who violate the decision will pay a fine of 1000 Syrian pounds, according to AANES’ decision.

Meanwhile, the recorded infections with coronavirus in the Autonomous Administration areas reached 204 cases, including 13 deaths and 21 recoveries, according to statistics of the Autonomous Administration Health Board.
