Dozens of Ground and Air Strikes on Idlib and Hama Caused Extensive Fires
The operations of escalations have been renewed by government forces and helicopters, which targeted Idlib governorate and other areas in its vicinity, coincided with the ongoing fighting in the area.
The bombardment renewed by the Syrian helicopters with dozens of barrel bombs, encompassed, in the past hours, Khan Shaykhun, Al-Fatera, Madaya, Kafr-Owayd Al-Hibeit, Sheikh Mustafa, Kafrsajna, Kansafra, Surrounding of Ariha and Kafr Nabudah in the in the north-west countryside of Hama, according to North Press correspondent.
The barrel bombs on the mentioned areas, was accompanied by rocket attacks on Khan Shaykhun, Rakaya, Sjna and Abiden, in the southern part of the governorate causing fires in the region’s agricultural crops.
Local opposition sources accused the government forces of using rockets loaded with incendiary phosphorous, and the residents of the city told North Press, that the fires were extinguished with great difficulty, and that the fire expanded due to Russian and Syrian air forces missile attack on the south of Idlib.
Meanwhile, clashes between the Syrian government forces and the armed opposition factions broke out in the core of the Karakat in Mount Shahshbo in the north-west of Hama. North Press correspondent reported.
At the same time, the Alhaweyz area in Sahl Al-Ghab witnessed a relative calm with sporadic bombardment by the government forces on the areas controlled by the factions.
The aerial bombardment on Al-Fatera village, south of Idlib, killed one woman and injured others.
