A car bomb attack exploded on the Syrian-Turkish borders on Wednesday in the town of Sere-Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), the town was recently controlled by the Turkish military and its affiliated armed opposition groups. The explosion, which was heard this afternoon, resulted from a car bomb, near the former office of the Democratic Union Party, in Kournish area of the town, causing two deaths and injuries.
The blast comes a week after a car bomb explosion in the village of Tal-Halaf in the western countryside of Ras al-Ain, which killed 19 people. Human rights sources confirmed that among those killed in the bombing were 7 civilians, including a child, and the rest were militants from the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups. The bombing also injured about 45 people.
