Syrian air defenses shoot down Israeli missiles – Government media outlets

The Syrian official news agency SANA said on Tuesday that Syrian government air defenses neutralized a number of Israeli missiles over the city of Tadmur (Palmyra) in the center of the country on Monday.
SANA reported that the Syrian air defenses responded to Israeli missile attacks in the sky of Palmyra in the eastern countryside of Homs, and shot down a number of hostile missiles before they reached their targets.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israeli aircraft fired missiles from Lebanese airspace against military gatherings of Iranian forces in Palmyra, without any information of casualties so far.
The Israeli authorities have not commented on the news published by Syrian government media outlets.
On March 31, SANA said that Syrian air defenses had responded to missiles fired by Israeli warplanes from Lebanese airspace on targets in the center of the country, confirming that a number of these missiles were intercepted before they reached their targets.
At the time, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the Israeli bombing targeted al-Shayrat Airbase in Homs, in which Iranian forces are stationed.
On March 5, the Syrian air defenses responded to Israeli missiles in the south and center of the country, targeting two military airports, one of which was al-Shayrat Airbase, according to the Observatory for Human Rights.
