On Sunday, Turkish forces took control of two points of the protesters on the Aleppo-Latakia M4 highway in the southern Idlib countryside, amid clashes and mutual shooting between the two sides.
A field source in Idlib said to North-Press: "The Turkish forces have taken control of two points, the first in the east of al-Nayrab, near the town of Tarenba, and the second at the western entrance to the town of al-Nayrab."
Clashes took place between the Turkish forces and the protestors along with the opposition groups, who are present on the M4 highway, killing two persons (one opposition militant and one local resident) in addition to wounding five others, according to the field source.
A field source earlier told North-Press that on Sunday, Turkish forces, accompanied by members of the armed opposition groups, tried to disperse the sit-in organized by residents of Idlib and fighters from the opposition groups against the passage of Russian military patrols by force, which resulted, at least, in the killing of one person and injury of three others.
