On Monday, unknown militants attacked a Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the western Idlib countryside, leading to intense clashes between the two parties.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that unidentified militants targeted an HTS checkpoint near al-Yaaqobia village near Jeser al-Shgour in the western Idlib countryside. Clashes took place between the two parties, ending with the flight of the attackers, with no human losses reported until now.
This comes after an attack by unidentified militants on Saturday-Sunday night on a Sham Legion position east of Binnish city in the eastern Idlib countryside, which led to a clash between the checkpoint members and the attackers.
Previously, on the 5th of May, unidentified individuals attacked the artillery headquarters of HTS near al-Foaa village in the northern Idlib countryside, which led to clashes between the two parties and injuries among the attackers.
Since the beginning of this year, the opposition-controlled areas are witnessing clashes between members of Sham Legion and HTS, as well as groups belonging to the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation, at a time when clashes take place repeatedly between them and Syrian government forces.
