On Wednesday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed the killing of Haji Tayseer, the third man in the Islamic State (ISIS), in a joint operation with the Global Coalition in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The SDF media center reported that a joint security operation between the SDF and the Global Coalition in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor led to the death of Moataz Numan Abd Nayef Najm al-Jubouri, known as "Haji Tayseer", who occupies the ISIS post of the so-called governor of Iraq last Tuesday.

The SDF media center explained that accurate intelligence from counterterrorism forces led to the killing of al-Jubouri in a Global Coalition airstrike in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, after following up on his movements inside and outside Syria.

The leader, known as Haji Tayseer, was an aide to the current leader of the Islamic State for state affairs, and responsible for planning and coordinating foreign operations.

The American al-Hurra website reported that ISIS lost its third leadership during this month after the coalition announced the killing of Ahmad Issa Ismail al-Zawi, known as Abu Ali al-Baghdadi, the governor of ISIS in north Baghdad, and Ahmed Abd Muhammad Hassan al-Jighifi, a senior official in supplies and logistics across Iraq and Syria.

Iraqi security analyst Hisham al-Hashimi tweeted, "The operation took place with Iraqi intelligence and it was carried out by the coalition with the assistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces, without confirmation from the coalition or the SDF about the identity of the dead."

On May 22nd, a military source from the Global Coalition Against ISIS told North-Press that the two ISIS regional leaders Ahmed Issa Ismail al-Zawy, and Ahmed Abdul Muhammad Hassan al-Jighifi were killed during a joint operation between the SDF and the Global Coalition carried out earlier in al-Busaira area east of Deir ez-Zor.

Recently, the SDF, with the support of the Global Coalition intensified their military and security operations against leaders and cells of ISIS that are deployed over large networks in the region, and the operations resulted in the killing and capturing of several ISIS militants.
