VBIED explodes near Sharqiya camp in Bab city

BAB, Syria (North Press) – A VBIED exploded after midnight Sunday-Monday in the city of Bab, in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, without causing any casualties.

A local source told North Press that the device was placed inside a car parked next to a farm near Sharqiya camp, which is located on the northern outskirts of the city of Bab, which led to the collapse of the wall of the farm.

The source pointed out that "the farm was the headquarters of the Suqour al-Sham brigades operating in the area, but it is now empty of any armed groups, and it is inhabited by a family from the area.”

Earlier on Saturday, a man was injured due to an IED explosion on the Ra’i road in Bab city.

The city of Bab was captured by Turkish-backed forces in the so-called “Operation Euphrates Shield” in 2017. Since this time, the city and its surrounding areas have witnessed security chaos, including explosions and assassinations, with the Turkish-backed groups unable to control it.
