Internal Security Forces arrest weapon traders in Kobani

Yesterday, on Sunday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the Euphrates region arrested a network operating in smuggling and weapons trade in the city of Kobani.
Mustafa Shaheen, director of the Media Office of the Asayish in the Euphrates region, told North Press that after monitoring and investigating for more than three weeks, the Department for Combating Organized Crime arrested seven people who stole and traded weapons, which included modifying their specifications and selling them.
Shaheen explained that two AK-74 and three VZ.24 rifles were confiscated, in addition to a variety of spare parts for most types of weapons, the equipment of numbers inscription and scanning and camouflaging their specifications.
The defendants were transferred to the Prosecution and Investigation Committee, after conducting the necessary investigations with them, according to the Asayish in the Euphrates Region.
On February 12, the Asayish arrested three drug traffickers who were in possession of cannabis.
During the investigations, those arrested at the time admitted that they obtained the substance from the areas under the control of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups for trafficking within the areas of Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.
