The Future Syria Party, Aleppo branch, held an exhibition yesterday morning on the occasion of combating violence against women under the slogan "Our will is stronger than the cruelty of your violence, so raise your hands” with the participation of several Kurdish and Arab political institutions and parties in the city of Aleppo.
Khaleda Abdo, the head of Women’s Organizing Office at Future Syria Party in Aleppo and one of the exhibition's organizers told North-Press that the aim of the exhibition is to highlight the reality of women in the world in general and Syria in particular, because during the war years women were directly targeted. Regarding the suffering endured by the Syrian woman by Turkish-backed armed groups, Abdo noted that the Syrian women of various components are subjected to the worst forms of violence, including killing, displacement and rape by the Turkish-backed terrorist groups,” according to her.
Abdo pointed out that despite the injustice and suffering, the Syrian woman proved her presence where female figures played their role in all fields, especially in the political field, and proved their ability to lead and organize despite all of that. “Women have not been skipped from violence and have been directly targeted, such as martyr Hevrin Khalaf, the Secretary-General of Future Syria Party, which shows that women have the will, the power and the organization skills," Abdo said.
Jihan al-Samman, the head of women's office in the Youth Party for Development and Alternation in Aleppo, said: "The celebration was new, because it was characterized by pictures that express the problems faced by Syrian women, starting with child marriage to the use of violence against female-fighters and civilian women who were on the borders of the homeland defending their land, their issue and their children.” Al-Samman expressed her admiration for the drawings drawn by the little girls, who wished a better future for Syria.
The exhibition was concluded by a video that showcased the martyred Secretary-General of Future Syria Party Hevrin Khalaf, who was brutally murdered by the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, the exhibition will continue until the day of tomorrow.
