Free private lessons for Ras al-Ain’s displaced students in Qamishli

Al-Awael Institute in the city of Qamishli has launched an initiative to provide intensive and free private lessons for the displaced students from the city of Sere-Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) after they were deprived of learning in their schools due to the Turkish military invasion in northeastern Syria.

Media Moussa, an Arabic language teacher told North-Press: “After the recent events in Ras al Ain and the displacement of its residents to different areas, in addition to the closure of schools there, we have decided to provide free private lessons for students who were deprived of their studies".

She added: "About 15 teachers from the city of Qamishli have met to help the displaced students within our study specializations; we directed our initiative to students at all levels of studies, especially students of the scientific and literary degrees".

Shukri Yousef, the director of al-Awael Institute who offered the initiative, said: "In our initiative, we focused heavily on students of the certificates' grades, so that their future is not lost, because of this war".

"It's enough to know that the student is from Ras al-Ain to offer him free and intensive private lessons,” he said.

Shukri Yousef added: "The great cooperation of our colleagues involved in the initiative was a great reason for its success, as we will continue our humanitarian duties towards our displaced brothers and sisters".

A student named Khalil said: "If our friends from Ras al-Ain and other regions want to join us at the institute, we are ready to receive and help them, we are all here like brothers and sisters, we love each other".
