Civilian police affiliated with Turkey force children to clean toilets with their hands in Afrin prison

Civilian police of Turkey in Shara district of Afrin region forced children to clean toilets in the district’s prison with their own hands without using cleaning tools.
As a footage was published on social media of two children cleaning toilets using their hands by order of the civilian police.
The footage received widespread discontent and indignation from human rights activists, humanitarian workers and social media users.
A statement was made by the civilian police of Turkey in the district of Shara regarding the incident, stressed that a member of the civilian police ordered the arrested children to clean toilets.
The statement justified the policeman’s actions as “an individual act,” describing it as “an immoral action intended to defame the police command.”
Moreover, the statement claimed that the member “will be subjected to investigation, to hold him accountable”, while the statement went on to say that the footage was recorded on 17 June, for the crime of “rape of a 10-year-old girl.”
It is worth mentioning that ,a few days ago, another footage was circulated among social media activists, of the civilian police in the city of al-Bab, which is controlled by the “Euphrates Shield” forces, showing children being beaten and tortured.
