Ein Issa Residents Demand a Solution to the Water Interruption
The residents Ein Isas and its northern countryside have suffered from water interruption for three months, because of the lack of water reservoirs that provide the residents with water as an alternative solution.
The residents appealed to the concerned authorities to solve the problem of water, especially in Ramadan month and Summer, which the need for water increase. The reality of water in Ein Issa town as monitored by North Press Agency.

“The reservoirs were insufficient to provide the residents with water and they had to bring water from the villages by their own cars, they have filed a complaint, but the officials replied that there was no fuel in the pumps.” Issa Ahmad, 60-year-old ,a resident of Ein Issa, told North Press.
Furthermore, Al-Faliha village ,10 km south-west of Ein Isa, has two wells that supply the city with water, but it does not meet the whole city’s needs.
“although we have to buy a water tank which costs / 1500 / SYP, yet, the municipality takes water bills from the citizens .” Mustafa Matar Khalif (40 years) said that water has been interrupted for more than a month in their neighborhood, pointing out that the reservoirs of the municipality were few, not equipped, and their hoses were short.
In other words, The residents of Ein Issa countryside suffer from the lack of water and the municipality’s ignorance of their demands.
“we have been suffering from water interruption for more than a year and we have asked the concerned authorities to provide the village with water, but the Water Committee ignored our demands and well water is undrinkable ,” Mustapha Muhammad Ali, from Al Alemat village, west of Ein Issa.

“The reason for the interruption of water goes to the failure in the main canal, as well as the lack of electricity and diesel in Zahraa’ station, which is administrated by Raqqa Civil Council,” Ismail Ismael, the official of the Water Committee in Ein Isa, explained the reasons of water interruption to North Press.
“there are three unequipped reservoirs in the city and it does not cover people’s need of water.” He explained
Hence, he asked Raqqa Civil Council and organizations to provide electricity and diesel, so they can supply the town and villages with water, saying that the water pump lines in the countryside and the city are ready.
Al-Zahra station is 28 km south of Ein Issa city and it is considered the main pumping station to supply water. The station is managed by Raqqa Civil Council, and it operates about 6 hours a day, in addition there are two tanks, the capacity of the first one is / 50.000 m3 /, and the second one is a high tank / 100 m 3/.
