Fire consumes 100 hectares southeast of Kobani
More than 100 hectares were burned as a large fire broke out today afternoon in agricultural land in the village of Kharab Ashq (50 km south of the city of Kobani).
The fire consumed more than (100) hectares of agricultural seasons of wheat and barley, among of which some owners have not harvested their seasons yet. According to North Press correspondent in Kubani noting that the cause of the fire was unknown.
Lately, the region has suffered major losses in the agricultural sector following the burning of hundreds of hectares of agricultural lands in various areas of self-administration in north and east of Syria.
The organization of the Islamic State “IS” published a special report in its newspaper of “Al-Naba’ ” adopting the fires in Raqqa and Al-Hasaka north of Syria, referring to the burning of agricultural crops owned by those who described them as “apostates.”
